Rune Factory 3 Special Reveals Another Episode DLC and Save Data Bonuses

In a press release shared by Japanese outlet Famitsu, two new details about the upcoming Rune Factory 3 Special game were revealed. These include the Another Episode DLC, as well as save data bonuses. It is yet unknown if the western release will feature both of the mentioned features, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated.

First, the Another Episode will be released on March 2, the same day the game goes on sale in Japan. It will include new illustrations and various fully-voiced monologues for each of the potential marriage candidates. Furthermore, for a limited time, the DLC can be downloaded at no added cost until April 3; after that period, the DLC will cost ¥648.

Additionally, if you have saved data from either Rune Factory 4 Special or Rune Factory 5 on the same console that you first boot up Rune Factory 3 Special, you can freely obtain Lest and Ares’s costumes, respectively.

Rune Factory 3 Special is an HD remaster of the original Rune Factory 3 game originally released on the Nintendo DS. In this title, players play as Micah, an amnesiac protagonist who can transform into two forms. Farm, fight and fall in love as you revisit a classic in the series that perfected the blend of RPG & Life-sim genres.

Rune Factory 3 Special will be releasing in Japan on March 2, 2023 for Nintendo Switch. XSEED will be localizing the game in North America, while Marvelous Europe will be handling distribution in the titular region, though no specific release dates have been given yet.
