Limited Run Games Boosts Carbon Engine Appeal With Randy Linden and Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland

During PAX West 2023, we had the chance to meet with Limited Run Games to learn more about what they’re doing with the Carbon Engine. This led us to a very special interview with Randy Linden. If you know anything about emulation, you know this name, but Linden is continuing to work in this field and bring his knowledge to the Carbon Engine. This led us to some hands-on time with Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland. So, if you wanna know more, please watch our interview below!

The Rugrats gang makes a comeback in Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland. After catching a commercial for the latest Reptar video game, Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, and Lil let their imaginations run wild, turning Tommy’s house into an “action-packed” gaming world.

In this adventure, players can explore six distinct levels within the Pickles’ household. Collecting Reptar coins is crucial to unlock the mysterious Reptar door, unveiling its hidden surprises. If you’re looking for a cooperative experience, team up with a friend for some two-player fun. The HD version of the game boasts hand-drawn animations that faithfully capture the iconic style of the original cartoon. Additionally, players have the option to switch between 8-bit and HD artwork to cater to their preferences.
