NIS America announced that RPG Maker MV will launch on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on September 8.
To celebrate the announcement, the publisher released a new trailer that shows the game running on console hardware. Viewers can get a preview of the sprite work and RPG, creating tools available to them in this game as well as how they can share their work with friends and gamers.
However, one thing missing is the Xbox One version that was previously in development. This announcement comes after a lengthy delay where the developer ran into issues while trying to get the game running on consoles. However, that seems to have been worked out with this release date.
RPG Maker MV allows players to create their own RPG by providing them with the tools they need. This includes assets, customization options, and tutorials. Players will also be able to upload their games for anyone to play, even those who don’t own RPG Maker MV.
The toolset has been used for quite a few indie games, and this just makes it more accessible to those who might not have access to a computer. It’s definitely a way to begin your game-creating career as it handles all of the programming for the user.
