Brownies announced that they will publish EGGLIA Rebirth on Nintendo Switch in the west. The game will launch first in Japan before releasing in North America, Europe, Australia, Korea, and Hong Kong.
EGGLIA Rebirth first launched iOS and Android devices as an online adventure game. However, after the game received a few updates, it went to an offline model. The game launched as a premium mobile title and not a free-to-play game before taking on a more freemium model.
Not much about the Switch version has been revealed. Whether or not this will be a brand new adventure in this series is to be seen. Still, the game is being worked on by some all-star JRPG developers including, Shinichi Kameoka (Mana series), Koji Tsuda (Mana series), and music by Yoko Shimomura & Yoshitaka Hirota.
EGGLIA tells the story of a young girl born to save the world and a Redcap who was destined for violence. The story tells a high-fantasy tale where the player interacts with various creatures including, Brownies, Dwarves, Gremlins, and Aloes. The battle system has players navigate a field to attack creatures who stand in their way. Additionally, players can utilize the skills of spirits hatched from eggs that require some amount of care to get the most out of their power.
We’ll keep you updated on the development of EGGLIA Rebirth.
