Mystery Visual Novel ‘Root Letter: Last Answer’ Announced for the West on PS4 and Switch

PQube announced that the Kadokawa developer mystery visual novel Root Letter: Last Answer will release in the west on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, an official release date has not been confirmed.

Root Letter: Last Answer is set 15 years after the protagonist’s meeting with Aya Fumino. Times have changed and characters have moved one, but a murder confession has been found in her last letters and she is nowhere to found. Players will travel to Aya’s hometown to uncover what happened to her. It seems that people around town are hiding the truth and clues of her whereabouts are just as vague.

The Root Letter has sold over 500 thousand copies in the west and this entry of the game aims to continue the story that so many fans have started. The game provides an interactive visual novel experience where players will use Aya’s letters to track down friends and use items to help with the investigation.

Additionally, the game features a live-action mode which brings the game to life and can be toggled on and off on the main menu. The game features several UI improvements and adds an epilogue that concludes the story for Aya Fumino.
