Root Double: Before Crime * After Days Xtend to Receive Switch Release Later This Year; Physically and Digitally

ININ Games officially announced that they have partnered with Sekai Project to release Root Double: Before Crime * After Days Xtend Edition both digitally and physically on Nintendo Switch in Q4 2020.

The physical release will be done through Strictly Limited Games’ Store and will include both a standard version as well as a Collector’s Edition. There will also be a retail release available soon after. This is new for Sekai Project who has been working with Limited Run Games for physical distribution of their titles, but a physical release is welcome nonetheless.

Released on PC and then later on PlayStation Vita in 2018, Root Double -Before Crime * After Days- tell the story of a scientific research facility named LABO that was built by a lake on the outskirts of “Rokumie City. However, an incident occurs, and nine individuals end up trapped in the basement. One of these trapped survivors is a high school student name Natsuhiko Tenkawa.

Players will journey through his memories of the six days leading up to the incident and start from his viewpoint. Also, players will see the story from the perspective of the squad captain, who is attempting to rescue the survivors and the nine-hour escape that unfolds in front of his eyes.

Publisher EastAsiaSoft recently released a few physical Vita copies of the game as well.
