During Square Enix’s E3 2019 Press Conference, the publisher revealed that Romancing SaGa 3 and SaGa: Scarlet Grace Ambitions is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC soon.
Romancing SaGa 3 was originally released on Super Famicom in 1995, the game introduces new gameplay elements to the series that has players assume the role of one of eight protagonists. Each character has their own storyline and will meet the other characters and recruit them to their party for battle. The game also uses an LP system that is used to do things such as revive characters and with their HP reaches 0, while recruited characters can be added to the party again, the death of the main character will result in a Game Over.
During battles, characters learn new abilities after they learn about their enemies. These new skills are often powerful attacks as well as evading abilities.
The remastered version has been delayed several times after creator Akitoshi Kawazu has been working to implement the English text onto multiple platforms.
SaGa: Scarlet Grace Ambitions has players take on a new battle system and character through a brand new adventure.
A new trailer was released showing gameplay from the remastered version of the title. This gives players the chance to get a preview of the game’s story and characters.
Romancing SaGa 2 is available now for iOS, Android, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
