Romance Visual Novel ‘Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation’ Details Kurumi With New Screenshots

Idea Factory International revealed new details for the romance visual novel Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation, coming to PlayStation 4 on June 18 and PC-via Steam at a later date.

This update allows players to meet Kurumi Tokisaki, also known as Nightmare and the manifestation of the angle Zefkiel. Kurumi is the only spirit that Shido was unable to save, which ends up making her The Worst Spirit. In this world, most spirits enter the world by accident, but she is a special entity who can seamlessly travel between whenever she wants. She comes off as rather mysterious and no one really knows what she wants, but all will be revealed in time.

Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation adds a brand new character, Rio, to the game. Evidentally, she just shows up and calls Shido “Papa” and is searching for the “most important thing.” Now, I know those who have never heard of this series are left in the dark about all this, but thankfully the Rio Reincarnation version of the game includes both Rinne Utopia and Arusu Install, which were released on PlayStation 3, to catch you up.

Each visual novel is around 40 hours long and allows the player to spend time with the 11 different characters and choose from over 150 dating events. Throughout the story, players will make choices that affect each girl’s feelings for the player and how they interact with him. Illustrations in the game have also been given some life as the characters react to your conversations and move their mouths.

The PS4 version of the game will have 2 modified CG images, while the PC release will have all original CGs.
