Roguelike Cooking Game ‘Cuisineer’ Reveals New Scrumptiously Endearing Gameplay Trailer

XSEED Games has shared a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming BattleBrew Productions-developed roguelike cooking game Cuisineer, summating the generalized gameplay loop.

Cuisineer follows Pom after receiving a letter from her parents that asks to see her one last time. She rushes home but finds they’ve vanished, leaving their restaurant abandoned. So, she picks up her tools and gets to work. Armed with a spatula, Pom must venture through dungeons and gather ingredients to cook dishes for customers.

Players will explore four biomes heavily differing in aesthetics and items as they gather countless ingredients. Additionally, the implementation of procedural generation will alter the layouts, enemy camps, and obtainable ingredients of each biome, truly diversifying each hunger-filled adventure.

Cuisineer will launch on PC via Steam in the Summer of 2023 from publishers XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe. Wishlisting is now available.

Last year, Kenji Hosoi, Executive Vice President at XSEED Games, stated the following about this new title:

“BattleBrew Productions immediately caught our eye at PAX East 2022 with their bright visuals, adorable characters, and unique food-based approach. We have no doubt that Cuisineer will be a great addition to our diverse menu of indie games and serve up a fantastic roguelike for gamers.”
