Rockstar Games Announces Backwards Compatibility Info for Xbox Series X|S and PS5

Rockstar Games have announced which of their titles will be backwards compatible for the soon to be released Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PlayStation 5 consoles. Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption 2, and the most recent versions of L.A. Noire, including L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files will be backwards compatible on both consoles.

All of the PlayStation 2 Rockstar Games available digitally via the PlayStation 4 will also be available on the PlayStation 5, along with all of the prior Xbox One backwards compatible games being available on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

Disc owners will simply have to insert their discs into their consoles for these titles to be playable, while digital owners will have to access the ‘Your Collection’ and ‘Ready to Install’ menus on their PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S consoles respectively.

Below are all of the Rockstar Games titles that are backwards compatible on Xbox One, and will continue to be backwards compatible on the Xbox Series X|S:

  • Bully: Scholarship Edition
  • Grand Theft Auto IV
  • Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
  • Midnight Club: Los Angeles
  • Red Dead Redemption
  • Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis

Below are all of the PlayStation 2 Rockstar Games titles that are available on the PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation store, and will continue to be backwards compatible on the PlayStation 5:

  • Bully
  • Grand Theft Auto III
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
  • Manhunt
  • Max Payne
  • Red Dead Revolver
  • The Warriors
