River Girls City 2 Launching for PS4, PS5, Xbox, Series X|S, Switch & PC Next Week; Start “Practicing Your Dabs,” They Advised
Following the recent announcement that River Girls City 2’s release date for North America and Europe was uncertain, WayForward has revealed that the title will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on December 15, 2022. The company has also advised prospective players to practice their dabs.
This entry picks up from the first game’s events, featuring more of what fans love, including enhanced movesets, waves of enemies, four-player cooperative play, and new characters. Additionally, interactive environments, sidequests, equipment, and over 40 shops are part of the experience, alongside several motion-comic cutscenes with thousands of voiced lines.
The original River City Girls tells the story of Kyoko and Misako, two high-schoolers who know a thing or two about defending themselves as they explore the six regions of River City to rescue their kidnapped boyfriends, who happen to Kunio and Riki. Players will utilize the game’s combo mechanics, including counters, throws, and special attacks as they fight their way through the streets. They’ll also be able to interact with NPCs, which includes guest stars from previous River City titles.
