River City Saga: Three Kingdoms Announced for PS4, Switch, and PC With Release Date and Gameplay Trailer

Arc System Works announced they will publish River City Saga: Three Kingdoms on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on July 21, 2022.

River City Saga: Three Kingdoms is a new beat ’em up adventure with RPG systems where players will experience a story based on Downtown Special: River City Historical Drama. This entry features the River City character in China’s Three Kingdoms period as they take on various roles.

River City Saga: Three Kingdoms is a beat ’em up with historical themes, but bear in mind the game is still as wacky as ever. The narrative keeps to its comedic tones where players will meet Guan Yu, who is pretty much Kunio, as he tries to survive the late Han Dynasty. Other cast members make an appearance as generals, tacticians, and more.

The RPG beat ’em up systems features retro-style action but includes modern systems. In addition to the Story Mode, this title includes a mode for up to 4 players with local and online co-op, “Heroes of the Three Kingdoms: Battle of Red Cliffs.” Conquer a total of 10 stages where powerful bosses await, while working together at times, and competing at others.
