SUNSOFT has released its cooperative cooking and restaurant management sim game Ripple Island: Kyle and Cal’s Restaurant for Nintendo Switch 2 and Steam for $38.99. The title reimagines the classic 1988 Famicom title.
Players take on various roles and work together to keep a restaurant running, handling everything from fishing and farming to cooking, serving customers, and managing the hall. Up to sixteen players can join online, while up to eight can play the main “Everyone’s Restaurant” mode on a single console.
Offline, the game offers a solo-focused Adventure Mode that recreates the world of the original Ripple Island. Here, players experience a single-operator challenge, managing the entire restaurant workflow on their own. Local cooperative play for up to four players is also supported. Characters from the 1988 game return in fully recreated 3D form, and the story has been rearranged to fit the new cooking-focused structure.
Ripple Island: Kyle and Cal’s Restaurant is available as both a download and a key-card on Switch 2, and supports Japanese, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
