RIG Keeps The Headsets Fresh With Their New 900 Series Release
RIG has been a notable headset brand, and amongst other holiday announcements, such as the 600 series, we now have a new release for the RIG 900 MAX HX. The 900 brings new-to-market Dolby technology with it, known as “Dolby Atmos Personalized Audio.” RIG’s take on premium audio brings hybrid Bluetooth and wireless connectivity with a charging base station, all for $249.99.
Besides hopefully excellent audio fidelity in general, the most significant selling bullet point is their new involvement in Dolby’s custom 3D audio mapping software. This is a first of its kind, where everyone is different; this technology allows us to tailor our best Atmos 7 channel experience. This is a big step towards more advancements in spatial audio, as now we have more control over our preferences in the spherical space.
The RIG 900 Series will also offer premium hardware, such as steel, only weighing 10.5 ounces on your head. The headband is also a staple for RIG, as it is hyper-flexible, leaving less worry when stretching or stepping.
Hopefully, the audio tones feel just right because the RIG 900 will also feature a 50-hour battery life, which sounds great to me if this has high-fidelity sound.
The RIG 900 series is now available (Sept. 7th, 2023) online for $249.99 at BESTBUY.COM and RIGGAMING.com. The headset will be optimized for Xbox but supports Playstation and PC.
