NISA Reveals Rhythm Platformer ‘Mad Rat Dead’ for PS4 and Switch With Release Date

NIS America announced that they will publish the rhythm platformer Mad Rat Dead on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on October 30 in North America and Europe.

Mad Rat Dead is a rhythm platformer directed by Yu Mizokami, known for Yomawari: Night Alone and Yomawari: Midnight Shadows. The game features the character, Mad Rat, who has been given the chance to fulfill his dream. Throughout the game, the player must keep his heart pumping in time with the music to clear stages within a time limit.

In the event that he doesn’t, he will die, but at least he got to hear some catchy tunes before his end. The game is a lot like the action film Crank where the character needs to keep his heart rate up in order to survive.

NISA will launch the game as a physical limited edition as well for PS4 and Switch, which includes the game, Dead Beats Cassette, Digital Soundtrack, Digital Art Book.

Additionally, the publisher released a new trailer to give players a look at the characters and crazy gameplay that awaits. The trailer also shows some of the environments and lets us hear some of the music that might be the death of Mad Rat.
