Rhythm Platformer ‘Mad Rat Dead’ Receives New Patch on PS4 and Switch Adding 6 New Music Tracks

Publisher NIS America has announced that their rhythm platformer, Mad Rat Dead, has received a new patch, version 1.02, adding brand new tracks alongside two other notable additions. Players now have the option to disable the stage timer, and the results page has now been added.

You can view the list of the 6 newly added tracks below:

  • “Gloucester Carousel”
  • “If We Could Be Friends”
  • “Bowing Steps”
  • “Nightmare Road”

Mad Rat Dead is a rhythm platformer directed by Yu Mizokami, known for Yomawari: Night Alone and Yomawari: Midnight Shadows. The game features the character, Mad Rat, who has been given a chance to fulfill his dream. The player must keep his heart pumping in time with the music to clear stages within a time limit throughout the game.

If he doesn’t, he will die, but at least he got to hear some catchy tunes before his end. The game is like the action film Crank, where the character needs to keep his heart rate up to survive.
