Ahead of the release of Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles later this month, NIS America has shared two comedic comics featuring characters from Rhapsody II.
Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles is a collection of two Nippon Ichi Software games never before released in the West. It includes the PS1 game Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess and the PS2 game Rhapsody III: Memories of Marl Kingdom, the sequels to Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure. The three games constitute the Marl Kingdom series, one of the most important pieces of NIS history.
Rhapsody II takes place a few years after the first game and follows the story of Kururu, the young daughter of Cornet and Prince Ferdinand. Just like her mother, she’s a little rascal, so she decides to get out of the castle as she’s determined to go on a journey to find her own prince. This time around, battles take place in a turn-based format with no grid.
Meanwhile, Rhapsody III is an ensemble piece that complements the stories of both games, providing additional narratives to the characters in six chapters. Events before, after, and during the previous Rhapsody entries are showcased alongside a revamped battle system and a newly implemented 3D camera.
