While details about the game’s premise and gameplay mechanics remain sparse, the announcement trailer showcased pre-alpha footage, hinting at an ambitious project set in Japan circa 1915. The trailer begins with a classic black-and-white presentation, transitioning to vivid color as it reflects the technological evolution of the era. The music complements this theme, evoking the spirit of a time approximately a century ago.
Intriguingly, some in-game footage appeared reminiscent of the Like a Dragon / Yakuza franchise, featuring real-time action combat, which may signal familiar gameplay for fans of RGG Studio’s beloved series.
The next confirmed game from the developer, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, will be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Windows worldwide for $59.99 on February 21, 2025.
Majima sets out on a new pirate-themed adventure to reach Madlantis Island with a crew of his own to discover the Lost Treasure of the Esperanza. Further, this will be an action-adventure, and the stage will be Hawaii.
