RGG Studio Announces First-Ever Anime Expo Panel; Featuring Yakuza/Like a Dragon Focus

Developer RGG Studio, known for the Yakuza/Like a Dragon franchise, has announced that they will host their first-ever Anime Expo panel this year on July 2, 2023, in Petree Hall at 5:30 PM PT/ 8:30 PM ET. Fans can anticipate a roughly hour-long chat with special panelists who have yet to be revealed.

Themed around RGG Studio’s Yakuza/Like a Dragon series and titled “Dragons of Japan,” fans can reply to the company’s announcement tweet with questions they’d like answered.

In case you missed the news, RGG Studio also announced the RGG Summit Broadcast, scheduled to premiere on June 15, 2023, at 8 PM ET/ 11 PM ET. Here, we will most likely see new information on the upcoming Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and Like a Dragon 8.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will focus on the series’ former protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu, between Yakuza 6: The Song of Life leading up to Like a Dragon 8. A 2023 release is planned for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Windows and Steam.

Developer RGG Studio has announced that the upcoming Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will include the beloved cabaret minigame. This real-time strategy activity, known from Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami 2, has players manage hostesses attending to visiting customers.

Like a Dragon 8 is a turn-based RPG that will be a sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon and will have Ichiban and Kiryu as protagonists.
