Re:ZERO: The Prophecy of the Throne Reveals Key Visual to Raise the Hype

Spike Chunsoft released the key visual for the Mages-developed visual novel RPG Re:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World: The Prophecy of the Throne to hype up the release of the game this winter.

The key visual is drawn by series artist Shinichirou Otsuka and depicts each of the characters having fun in one frame. The visual is lively, which is a great representation of some of the darker themes featured in the story.

The Prophecy of the Throne takes place one month after Subaru began his new life in another world. An emissary sent by the royal castle has appeared with the news that the royal selection has been postponed, but strangely, there’s no reason why. The postponed of the grand event is the one that decides the next ruler of the Kingdom of Lugunica, which force Subaru and his friends into action.

When they arrive at the royal capital they find that a sixth candidate has claimed the stake for the throne. However, there can only be five, meaning one person is an imposter, and suspensions are cast toward Emilia.

The Prophecy of the Throne’s story is supervised by series author Tappei Nagatsuki and features brand new character designs from original artist Shinichirou Otsuka. Gameplay features tactical adventure segments where players will play through an original story that takes place during the first season of the anime.

Re:ZERO: The Prophecy of the Throne is coming to the west on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC later this winter.
