The fourth season of Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- has officially been confirmed for a 2026 release, and fans now have a look at what’s to come. A new teaser trailer and the third teaser visual were released today, along with updated character illustrations showcasing the main cast in new outfits.
Developed by WHITE FOX and based on the popular light novel series by Tappei Nagatsuki, Re:ZERO continues to build on its high-stakes narrative following the intense battle at the Watergate City of Priestella. Despite their victory, Subaru and his allies suffered heavy losses. Rem remains in a coma due to the Authority of Gluttony, Crusch has lost her memories, and Julius’s very name was devoured.
A Journey into the Desert of the Unknown
The upcoming arc shifts the setting to the perilous Auguria Dunes, an uncharted desert where Subaru heads in search of the mysterious “wise man” Shaula. According to the synopsis, this next leg of the journey takes the party to the Pleiades Watchtower, where Subaru hopes to recover what was lost. The teaser trailer highlights this shift, showing Subaru and his companions facing off against mabeasts in the harsh desert environment.
Returning Cast and Staff
The voice cast remains consistent with previous seasons, including Yusuke Kobayashi as Subaru, Rie Takahashi as Emilia, and Inori Minase as Rem. Notably, Ai Fairouz joins the cast as Shaula. Key staff members also return, with Masahiro Shinohara directing and Tappei Nagatsuki supervising the script. Haruka Sagawa returns as both character designer and chief animation director.

The light novel series has sold over 13 million copies globally, and anticipation for this season has only grown as the anime adapts deeper arcs from the source material.
