Rewrite+ Releasing Later This Month; Wishlisting Available on Steam
Publisher Sekai Project has announced that the Key developed visual novel, Rewrite+ is scheduled to release on PC via Steam on December 17, 2021. Further, prospective players can wishlist the title via its Steam page.
This release has been considerably delayed for quality assurance regarding its localization. It was formerly meant to release in January 2021, but numerous delays have pushed back this release to the end of this year instead.
Sekai Project shared the following statement on the game’s Kickstarter page:
Barring any unforeseen issues, we are planning to release Rewrite+ on December 17, 2021. As for Harvest Festa, we will have more information once Rewrite+ is released and after the winter holiday. We’ll also have some more updates on the various physical rewards for this campaign. While what’s been printed is thankfully not on a boat stuck in the Port of Los Angeles, there are still shipping issues we are dealing with at the moment.
Rewrite+ was successfully crowdfunded last year to bring the title west. The campaign was created to bring Rewrite+ and Rewrite Harvest Festa! to western fans and pay the high cost of voice audio licensing fees.
Rewrite+ and Rewrite Harvest Festa! is set in Kazamatsuri, where Tennoji Kotarou spends his day with his close group of friends. Once a year, an event shakes the foundations of this small town. Known as the harvest festival, Kotarous collects information about creatures and the occult. Strange things happen all around him, and Kotarou does what he can to find the “truth” that no one else has discovered.
