SRPG ‘Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery’ Gets New Trailer Showing Gameplay and Characters

X.D. Network released a new trailer for the Sunborn Games-developed Tactical RPG Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery coming to Nintendo Switch, PC-via Steam, and mobile devices.

The trailer quickly highlights gameplay from the strategy RPG and showcases a few of the game’s characters. Players also get a quick look at the game’s battle system and snowy environments. During story scenes, characters are fully realized, but during the battles, they are displayed in chibi versions, which is kind of cute.

Code Name: Bakery Girl was originally released in 2013 where players had the chance to explore some fairly deep tactical RPG gameplay as well as a deep storyline. Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery has been completely rebuilt with improved graphics, voice-over, new stages, and a reworked story. For those who don’t know, the events that take place in Girls’ Frontline happen before the events of Code Name: Bakery Girl, in terms of the series timeline.

Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery tells the story of a girl named Jefuty, who is struggling to survive through the war and is being pursued by powerful enemies. The game is set in the near future, where Earth is the battleground for the Second Cold War as two nations, Antarctic Union and the UURSG, fight over technology to gain the upper hand.

Players will control Mendo and Jefuty who have a tough road ahead of them, overwhelming URNC soldiers, and an unknown force pulling the strings behind the scenes. Their mission revolves around finding allies and uncovering a massive conspiracy surrounding the code name “Bakery.”
