Return to Monkey Island Announced By Devolver Digital & Lucasfilm Games; 2022 Release
Ron Gilbert, Devolver Digital, Terrible Toybox, and Lucasfilm Games have announced Return to Monkey Island, the follow-up to Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge. A brief trailer accompanied this announcement, though it’s simply more of a tease than anything genuinely substantial. Still, more news regarding this unexpected sequel should arrive in the near future.
Dave Grossman has designed and written this title alongside Ron Gilbert. Moreover, the music has been composed by Michael Land, Peter Mcconnel, and Clint Bajakian.
A website for Return to Monkey Island has launched, but it has no notable information aside from a link to the recently released announcement trailer.

Currently, this game possesses no specific release date aside from a general 2022 release window. Further, no platforms have been confirmed, though it’s safe to assume that a PC arrival is assuredly evident.
The Monkey Island games are widely beloved and nostalgic for many, being icons of the adventure genre. They are invaluable, historical titles, so hopefully, this upcoming sequel manages to at least live up to the legacy those previous games managed to leave. Everyone will be keeping an eye on this.
