Retro Studios Updates Twitter Banner; Ominous Samus
Developer Retro Studios has updated its Twitter banner, housing an ominous silhouette of Samus in the background. Unfortunately, the lighting is rather dark, making it difficult to distinguish specific features. Regardless, this likely means that more Metroid Prime news is in the works, to be delivered soon. Aside from apparent hopes for Metroid Prime 4, many fans are also hoping for a collection of the Metroid Prime Trilogy on Switch, similar to what the Nintendo Wii had. Regardless, I think we’ll be plenty happy if this new art leads to either of those outcomes.
You can view the new Twitter banner artwork for Retro Studios via their official Twitter page.
Metroid Dread is now available on Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo has announced some support for Metroid Dread coming in the form of Dread and Rookie mode. To start, Dread Mode is a difficulty setting that punishes the player for any little mistake. In this mode, a single hit is enough to wipe Samus off the face of the earth. They are intended for those looking to add more challenge to the game and should not be attempted by the faint of heart.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, Rookie Mode gives the player enhanced recovery, ensuring that mistakes are less costly. No matter what mode you play on, these added difficulty settings should allow players to tailor their experience to suit their needs. Nintendo also Announced a Boss Rush mode to come in April 2022.
