Respawn Entertainment Developing 3 New Star Wars Games; Fallen Order 2, FPS & Strategy

The official Twitter account for EA Star Wars has announced that developer Respawn Entertainment is currently hard at work creating three brand new upcoming Star Wars video games, all with separate genres. Firstly, the most expected of these developments is the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, being developed by Game Director Stig Asmussen and the rest of his creative team. This game currently lacks an officially revealed title.

The other two games are being made by two new teams, with the aim being to provide unique experiences fresh to the Star Wars gaming ecosystem. Of these remaining titles, Peter Hirschmann is helming the development of an FPS, while the newly formed Bit Reactor studio led by Greg Foerstch is making a strategy title. Neither of the aforementioned games have confirmed names.

Douglas Reilly, VP, Lucasfilm Games provided the following quote regarding this news:

“We are excited to continue working with the superbly talented developers at Respawn. They have demonstrated excellence in telling epic Star Wars stories along with best-in-class gameplay across different genres and we are looking forward to bringing more amazing experiences to the galaxy far, far away.”

Sean Shoptaw, SVP, Walt Disney Games provided the following quote regarding these upcoming game releases:

Fostered by the expertise and passion within each team, we will create thrilling original games for diverse audiences across the Star Wars galaxy.”

Peter Hirschmann, game director at Respawn, provided the following quote regarding these developments:

“Working with Lucasfilm Games on a new FPS in the Star Wars galaxy is a dream come true for me, as this is a story I have always wanted to tell.
