Resident Evil Village Has Players Assume the Role of Ethan Once More for a New Nightmare

Early today, Capcom released the first trailer for Resident Evil Village, the newest entry in the series in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC-via Steam for 2021 release.

While the trailer doesn’t reveal too many details, the publisher has released some information on what players can expect. Resident Evil Village is set a few years after the events of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard. We are reintroduced to Ethan and Mia who have moved to a new location and are relatively happy. However, right when they thought things were going well, tragedy befalls them. Players then assume the role of a distraught Etan who seeks to uncover the truth of the mysteries that are affecting a once peaceful village.

During gameplay, players will be introduced to new enemies in various environments, including snow-capped locals. Furthermore, the team is aiming for a sense of balance revolving around realism and fear with an added dose calm atmosphere to make players anticipate upcoming scares.

Additionally, Chris Redfield will also make an appearance in the game, but his place in the story has not been revealed.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the development of Resident Evil Village.
