Resident Evil Village Will Launch on PS4 and Xbox One With Next-Gen Versions; Release Date Announced

uring a special video presentation, Capcom announced that Resident Evil Village will launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One along with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC on May 7, 2021.

Producer Pete Fabiano introduced that the game will be available for pre-order today with options for a digital deluxe edition as well as a Collector’s Edition with a figure of Chris Redfield and an artbook. Further, there will be a bundle packed with Resident Evil 7 Biohazard.

Resident Evil Village is set a few years after the events of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard. We are reintroduced to Ethan and Mia who have moved to a new location and are relatively happy. However, right when they thought things were going well, tragedy befalls them. Players then assume the role of a distraught Etan who seeks to uncover the truth of the mysteries that are affecting a once peaceful village.

The game borrows the first-person gameplay perspective from Resident Evil 7 Biohazard as players explore a new town and uncover its secrets.
