Resident Evil Village Reveals New Nightmare Inducing Gameplay in Trailer and Screenshots
Capcom released a new trailer for Resident Evil Village, the newest entry in the series in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC-via Steam for 2021 release.
The trailer focused heavily on the game’s narrative as players find themselves in a strange place. Resident Evil Village is set a few years after the events of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard. We are reintroduced to Ethan and Mia who have moved to a new location and are relatively happy. However, right when they thought things were going well, tragedy befalls them. Players then assume the role of a distraught Etan who seeks to uncover the truth of the mysteries that are affecting a once peaceful village.
The game borrows the first-person gameplay perspective from Resident Evil 7 Biohazard as players explore a new town and uncover its secrets. The seller from Resident Evil 4 also finds his way into the game to offer you goods in exchange for money.
During gameplay, players will be introduced to new enemies in various environments, including snow-capped locals. Furthermore, the team is aiming for a sense of balance revolving around realism and fear with an added dose calm atmosphere to make players anticipate upcoming scares.
Additionally, Chris Redfield will also make an appearance.
