Resident Evil Village Gold Edition Announced; Third-Person Mode & Shadows of Rose DLC; October 2022 Release

During today’s Capcom Showcase, the developer shared a trailer for the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition. This package includes a third-person mode, the multiplayer Mercenaries Mode, and the Shadows of Rose DLC. Rose, the daughter of Resident Evil 7’s and 8’s protagonist, Ethan Winters, is in a different realm of consciousness, thanks to her unique powers, and players will control her via third-person mode.

This package is planned to release on October 28, 2022, for all platforms. They will also be included in the Winter’s Expansion, which comprises all of the aforementioned content for those who do not want to buy the entire Resident Evil Village game again.

Resident Evil Village is set a few years after the events of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard. We are reintroduced to Ethan and Mia, who have moved to a new location and are relatively happy. However, right when they thought things were going well, tragedy befalls them. Players then assume the role of a distraught Etan who seeks to uncover the truth of the mysteries affecting a once peaceful village.

The game borrows the first-person perspective from Resident Evil 7 Biohazard as players explore a new town and uncover its secrets.

Resident Evil Village is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
