Resident Evil 4 Remake’s Playtime Will Be Similar to Original’s

In an interview with Resident Evil 4 Remake producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, we asked what the playtime would be for this new entry since players consider the previous remake efforts to be on the short side. We were informed that this entry will have a similar playtime to the original. So, if fans are satisfied, they will enjoy this renewed vision.

The original Resident Evil 4 can be completed on average in 15 hours. Still, there are reasons to replay the game. The producer also confirmed that the existence of optional missions and collectibles will be included in the remake.

We will share our full interview with Resident Evil 4 Remake producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi later this week.

Resident Evil 4 Remake will feature much of the tense horror-action players remember from the game with a “state-of-the-art quality” suitable for 2023. However, the team is focused on preserving the essence of the original game and plans to provide a familiar experience that fans of the series remember.

Still, they want to offer a fresh new feeling with additional story elements. This is a “reimagining” of the storyline of the game while keeping the essence of the direction with modernized graphics and updated controls.

Resident Evil 4 Remake is launching for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in 2023.
