Resident Evil 4 Remake VR Mode is Currently in Development
Capcom announced that an update is already underway for their upcoming horror adventure Resident Evil 4 Remake, coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on March 24, 2023.
The developer confirmed on their official Twitter that the team is now working on Resident Evil 4 Remake VR Mode, which will likely take advantage of the PSVR2. The developer has already released Resident Evil Village VR as a free update to the base game and PSVR2 owners, so this comes as little surprise, but still, something to look forward to in terms of support for the hardware.
Nothing else was shown of VR gameplay, but we’ll keep you updated on the development of the update.
Resident Evil 4 Remake will feature much of the tense horror-action players remember from the game with a “state-of-the-art quality” suitable for 2023. However, the team is focused on preserving the essence of the original game and plans to provide a familiar experience that fans of the series remember. Still, they want to offer a fresh new feeling with additional story elements. This is a “reimagining” of the storyline of the game while keeping the essence of the direction with modernized graphics and updated controls.
