Resident Evil 4 Remake Sells 3 Million Units Worldwide; Resident Evil Series Sells 135 Million Units Worldwide
Capcom has announced that their latest survival horror adventure, Resident Evil 4 Remake, has sold over three million units worldwide since its launch on March 24, 2023. Additionally, the company also announced that as of December 31, 2023, the Resident Evil franchise has sold over 135 million units worldwide.
Immense congratulations to the staff for this incredible achievement, as Resident Evil 4 Remake seems to be one of the most successful title launches in the series. It’s worth wondering what the future of the games has in store now, with the fifth and sixth mainline entries not as beloved. I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see.

Resident Evil 4 Remake features much of the tense horror-action players remember from the game with a “state-of-the-art quality” suitable for 2023. However, the team is focused on preserving the essence of the original game and plans to provide a familiar experience that fans of the series remember.
Further, they want to offer a fresh new feeling with additional story elements. This is a “reimagining” of the original game’s storyline while keeping the essence of the direction with modernized graphics and updated controls.
Further, the free Chainsaw Demo is available, giving prospective players a taste of the game’s early hours.
