Capcom announced that Resident Evil 4 will launch on iPhone 15 Pro, iPad, and Mac on December 20, 2023. The game will run on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max devices, along with iPads and Macs with the M1 chip or later.
The game is available for pre-order now, with the option to purchase the Separate Ways DLC, which is set to launch along with the main game.
Players have the opportunity to experience a portion of Leon S. Kennedy’s terrifying journey through a free download at launch on Apple devices. This allows them to get a taste of the game before making a single purchase to access the full Resident Evil 4 experience. Moreover, the game boasts support for Universal Purchase and cross-progression, facilitating seamless gameplay between iPhone, iPad, and Mac, whether at home or on the go, while maintaining continuity in their saved games across different devices.
The heart-pounding survival horror gameplay of Resident Evil 4 can be savored on Apple devices using a range of compatible controllers. Additionally, the game offers keyboard and mouse compatibility for Mac users and customizable touch controls for convenient gaming on iPhone and iPad.
The ability to bring Resident Evil 4 to Apple devices is made possible through the collaboration of Capcom’s RE ENGINE and Apple silicon, including the A17 Pro chip featured in iPhone 15 Pro models, as well as Macs equipped with M-series chips, including the new MacBook Pro with the M3 family of chips and the supercharged iMac with M3. Resident Evil 4 leverages robust features such as MetalFX Upscaling, ensuring exceptional performance and highly responsive gameplay across iPhone, iPad, and Mac platforms.
