Resident Evil 4 Announced for Oculus Quest 2 With New Trailer
Capcom announced they will release Resident Evil 4 onto Oculus Quest 2 utilizing the virtual headset and transforming the third-person survival shooter into a first-person survival shooter.
Resident Evil 4 on Oculus Quest 2 will launch later this year, with more news about the game to be revealed during the Oculus Gaming Showcase at 3 pm PT on April 21.
Resident Evil 4 initially launched on GameCube in 2005 and has made its way to nearly every platform since. This has fans wanting a remaster of the title, but it looks like we’ll have to settle on a VR version of the game.
The game has you play as Leon Kennedy who is tasked with saving the President’s daughter and lead her to safety. The game requires players to conserve ammo and organize their loadout to get further into the game. Also, the enemies aren’t necessarily zombies as they communicate with each other and gang up on Leon as he holds up in houses and fights to survive. The game is very much action-oriented, but it does pack some scares. There are also collectibles and treasures found throughout the stages used to purchase new weapons and items.
You can watch the VR gameplay for Resident Evil 4 below, I know, we wished it was a remastered too:
