Remedy Entertainment released footage from a New York Comic-Con panel introducing the cast and story details for their upcoming third-person shooter, Control.
Control’s Creative Director Sam Lake along with the game’s cast Courtney Hope, Matthew Porretta, and James McCaffrey took the stage as panelists to speaking on their previous experiences working with Remedy and the current work on Control.
Highlights from the video above:
Courtney Hope will voice Jesse Faden, the main protagonist initially introduced in the E3 2018 trailer. Jesse is brought to serve as the new director by the Federal Bureau of Control after it failed to keep control over the supernatural.
Matthew Porretta will play Dr. Darling, the Head of Research for the Federal Bureau of Control. Whom is described by Matthew as a “weird and strange” character.
Lastly, James McCaffrey will star as Zachariah Trech, which so far is a mysterious character with no details yet on how the character is involved with the story.
The panelists also described the motion capture challenges and Sam Lake spoke about the decision to have Remedy’s first female-led story.
Control will be coming out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. No release date has been announced yet.
Author’s Take: I’m a big fan of Remedy games so much so that I accurately called out the developer’s name at first sight of the first teaser trailer dropping. So it goes without saying I can’t wait for Control.
