505 Games announced that the Magnus Games developed life sim RPG, will launch on Steam Early Access on August 30 for $19.99.
Originally revealed during it’s 2017 Kickstarter, where the project received a ton of support from fans, Re:Legend features mechanics of monster collecting and life-simulation mechanics to create a unique RPG adventure for player. The Early Access version of the game will include staples that fans of the genre love like farming, fishing, and crafting all to the tunes of Video Game Orchestra founder and composer Shota Nakama, who some might know from the Final Fantasy XV soundtrack.
Re:Legend is set in the world of Ethia where players find themselves washed up on Vokka Island with no memories. So, the only thing to do is survive in hopes that one day you remember your forgotten past. While completing goals such as cultivating the land, breeding, befriending inhabitants, and building a village, players will eventually regain those lost memories.
Additionally, Re:Legend features monsters known as Magnus that can be trained to help players fight against threatening foes.
The Steam Early Access program will allow players to access the game during its last phase of development. This is to get community feedback and address any issues in the game for a proper release.
Re:Legend is also in development for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. However, there isn’t any word on whether backers received codes for the Early Access program judging by the comments on the update post.
The publisher also released a new trailer showing gameplay, farming, and the activities that players will be able to do in Re:Legend.
