3D Shmup ‘Redout: Space Assault’ Gets Console and PC Release Date in Very Cool New Gameplay Trailer
34BigThings announced that Redout: Space Assault will launch on January 22, 2021, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam.
Being a prequel to the racer, Redout, Redout: Space Assault takes the series in a new shmup direction. Redout: Space Assault is a single-player shooter offering players the chance to play through levels while upgrading their ship with new weapons and utilizing a few spaceflight mechanics to survive.
Redout: Space Assault features full craft customize and various missions that aim to test the player’s skill. Additionally, roguelike elements make it difficult to memorize the patterns fully but keep replayability high.
“We are thrilled to deliver another exciting chapter of the Redout saga. Redout: Space Assault is an adrenaline-filled space shooter with a captivating story that will uncover the mysteries behind the reckless AG races of the original Redout,” said Valerio Di Donato, CEO of 34BigThings.
The developer also released a new trailer that shows the game in action, and it looks really cool. Compared to the previous entry, it’s cool to see the developer taking on new genres. There are a full campaign and multiple levels along with a soundtrack that changes based on the action.
