Zero-Gravity Racer ‘Redout’ Finally Gets Switch Release Date With Free DLC

Nicalis announced that the 34BigThings developed zero-gravity racer Redout will launch digitally on Nintendo Switch eShop on May 14.

Redout is set in the year 2560 and takes place during a time after magnetic race tracks have been invented and flourish in this generation. The game features 28 different customizable vehicles to take to the tracks and race across 11 event types and over 200 different total events. The game features a single-player Career Mode that gives players the opportunity to gain experience to level up and upgrade the vehicles with power-ups and additional turbo. Additional upgrades include self-repair drones, advanced grip systems, and more. The game has 60 courses across 12 locations that will take players across a variety of different environments including coastlines and desert plains.

Redout also features an online mode for players to race against 5 other racers and compete against the global leaderboards.

The Nintendo Switch version will launch as the “Lightspeed Edition” which will include all the extra gameplay-related downloadable content as a free bonus, which retails for about $40.

Redout is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
