Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered Gets Switch Release Date and New Trailer
THQ Nordic announced that space shooter Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered will launch on Nintendo Switch on July 2.
Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered is a remastered version of 2009’s Red Faction: Guerrilla. The game follows a mining engineer named Alec Mason who has come to Mars to reunite with his brother Dan. It just so happens that Dan is a part of a resistance group called Red Faction and asked Alec to join the fight against the corrupt Earth Defense Force, not to be confused with monster killing Earth Defense Forse series unless we’ve missed something here.
The remastered version includes performance quality changes and reworked graphics for a better open world exploration experience. Players will also notice improved shadow rendering and lighting as well as reworked shaders and postprocessing. The Switch version will also utilize motion controls for immersive gameplay while aiming in handheld mode.
Additionally, the publisher released a new trailer showing gameplay from the Switch version, set to a comical tune. The trailer shows the game’s destructive environments as well as the different vehicles and weapons available.
Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
