Red Dead Redemption 2 Focuses On Characters and Outlaws in Early Launch Trailer

Rockstar Games released the launch trailer a little early for their western adventure, Red Dead Redemption 2, coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26.

The trailer focuses on the story and main protagonist Arthur Morgan as he fights to protect the people of the Vanderling Gang. During the game, players will travel with the gang over various terrain and missions. The story will rely on the choices made by the player to focus on how the gang grows and whether or not they are accepted into everyday life.

Players will also get to customize Arthur, which was detailed in a recent update. This can be choosing what he eats, changing the looking of his horse, and also deciding if he takes a bath or not. It’s up to the player to see Arthur through this adventure.

Additionally, Red Dead Redemption 2 will receive an Online Mode open beta in November, which will roll out into a full release for players to explore the west with friends.

Author’s take: At a minute long, this isn’t the most video we’ve seen from the publisher, but I think it’s just enough to hold those off who have been otherwise radio silent about the game. It doesn’t ruin anything story wise and keeps a focus on Arthur’s determination.
