First-Person and Dead Eye System Detailed in Red Dead Redemption 2 Gameplay Video

Rockstar Games released a new video showing gameplay from their upcoming western adventure Red Dead Redemption 2, coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26.

The new video explains how the action in the game is fluid as the player progresses their adventure. As Arthur, players will be able to pull off side missions with their gang including heists or a night out with the girls. If the player decided to become notoriously bad, the sheriffs will do what they can to stop them such as detective work or by hiring a bounty hunter.

The Dead Eye system has returned. This mode allows players to slow down time in order to aim at an enemies head or even the wheels of a coach. Additionally, players will be able to see the critical points of an enemy in order to take them down with one shot.

Customization in Red Dead Redemption 2 allows players to choose which guns Arthur will carry along with what he’ll wear. Players can also choose what Arthur eats, the look of his horse, and whether to bathe or not. The video also shows a preview of the game’s first-person mode and the consequences that will happen depending on the actions that the player takes.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will put players as a member of the Vanderling gang, Arthur Morgan, in which they are allowed to make choices as they live their lives on the road. Although the game does have a narrative, that can change depending on the choices that the player makes.

Red Dead Online has also been revealed to receive an open beta in November. This mode will allow players to travels the frontier with friends or alone.

Rockstar Games has recently released the first gameplay video introducing the main character as well as new screenshots.

Author’s take: Red Dead Redemption 2 is showing that the game has a lot to offer in terms of activities that the player can do outside of the main story. I’m curious to know more about the actual game though and what Arthur is either running away from or working toward.
