Melee Battle Royal Game ‘RAN: Lost Islands’ Reveals Free Playtest Weekend on PC

Jolly Roger Games Studio announced that they will host a free playtest for RAN: Lost Islands on Steam as part of the Steam Games Festival: Summer Edition.

From June 16 through June 22, players will be able to play the game, which will undoubtedly provide feedback to the developers as they work on the game. Those interested can sign up now on the game’s official website.

RAN: Lost Islands is an online melee battle royal that has 100 players sent to a cursed island, where they’ll need to fight to the death. Players have access to a range of weapons that stem from the nine available character classes including, samurai, ninja, cavalry, and spearman.

During a match, players can use boats, horses, gliders, and grappling hooks to get around the environment and take down their enemies. Throughout gameplay, events occur that affect the flow of battle including mini-boss encounters, tornadoes, and tsunamis. The goal is to find the Legendary Treasure, fight to be the final survivor, and use materials found on the map to upgrade your gear in the next battle.

RAN: Lost Islands is scheduled to launch in Steam Early Access later in 2020.
