Rainbow Six Extraction Revealed for PS4, PS5, Xbox, and PC with a September Release

During today’s Ubisoft Forward E3 event, the publisher and developer revealed a new entry in the critically acclaimed Rainbow Six franchise, Rainbow Six Extraction.

This title is a 1-3 multiplayer experience that has players combatting against a dangerous alien threat. While the gameplay is systemically similar to what was present in Rainbow Six Siege, the gunplay and other elements of combat have been altered to fit alien action better. Players will have to infiltrate containment zones to rescue a survivor. However, death leads to a loss of equipment, so each venture has its share of risks.

The 3 stages of the game that have become containment zones are New York, Alaska, and San Francisco. There is a persistent black sludge that pushes players through missions. Ridding the stages of this ooze helps make navigation easier and thereby aids in making rescues a smoother operation for all involved.

Crossplay has been confirmed to be supported across all platforms.

Rainbow Six Extraction is releasing for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Amazon Luna, Google Stadia, and Ubisoft+ on September 16, 2021.
