Romance Visual Novel ‘Rainbow Dreams’ Launches Kickstarter to Fund Extra Content

Top Hat Studios and Epic Works have launched a Kickstarter for the slice of life action visual novel Rainbow Dreams, in development for PC.

The campaign was launched to help fund extra content in the game as well as assist with additional expenses that come with porting your game Steam. However, in the event that the game does get rejected by Steam, Rainbow Dream will also be available on the studio’s digital storefront, Hat Rack. The campaign is looking for $2,000 to fund the extra content with a backing of $10 to get the game. Additional rewards include digital and physical goods.

As for Steam’s new policies, the team writes:

One issue that may arise, however, is the game being delayed or barred from Steam’s release thanks to their new policy, which has seen a high variability in the approval process for Visual Novels. However, we’re doing our best in order to maximize the chances of the game being approved, and as of now, do not foresee any issues.

Rainbow Dreams follows Luka Sanguis who finds himself married to a Goddess to which his life takes off on an adventure of discovery about the world around him. The Goddess, Myra Orbis, is the creator of the universe of Gaea who has left her position to enter the human world. She ends up meeting Luka and claiming to be married to him. However, it’s not happy ever after for the two as Daemons begin invading the world at night and day to day life because of a struggle.

There’s currently a free demo available with 1 – 2 hours of content.
