ATLUS has revealed the full English voice cast for RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, the upcoming revival of its cult-favorite action RPG. The remaster marks the first time the game features full English voice acting, spotlighting a refreshed presentation while staying grounded in its original tone.
Stephen Fu leads the cast as Raidou Kuzunoha XIV, joined by Ray Chase as the sardonic feline guide Gouto-Douji. Dawn M. Bennett voices investigative reporter Tae Asakura, Kayli Mills steps in as Kaya Daijouji, Chris Okawa takes on the enigmatic Rasputin, and Joe Zieja rounds out the cast as Munakata.
Returning to the Capital’s Shadows
Originally released in 2006 for the PlayStation 2 under the title Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army, the game marked a unique departure from ATLUS’s turn-based formula. Set in a supernatural version of Japan’s Taishō era, it combined detective work with real-time demon battles. Despite its strong aesthetic and dedicated fanbase, the title remained a niche entry in the broader Shin Megami Tensei lineage until now.
RAIDOU Remastered isn’t just a visual facelift. ATLUS is giving the game a modern overhaul that includes updated combat, enhanced environments, and new quality-of-life features. Combat has been revamped with real-time action, allowing players to freely control the camera and utilize the MAG Drain System alongside Raidou’s arsenal of special attacks. A recent trailer titled Summoners Guild | Combat gives a closer look at these changes in motion.
Polished for a New Generation
Another trailer, Summoners Guild Quality of Life Changes, highlights side-by-side comparisons between the original and remastered versions. Updates include the ability to save anywhere, streamlined access to objectives, refreshed demon designs, and other improvements designed to smooth out gameplay without compromising the original’s style.
RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army launches June 19, 2025, on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
