R-Type Final 3 Evolved Coming West to PS5 in April; Developed in Unreal Engine 5, Includes DLC Stage Pass 1 From Final 2

NIS America shared they will publish the Granzella-developed shmup R-Type Final 3 Evolved on PlayStation 5 on April 25, 2023, in the west.

R-Type Final 3 Evolved is the newest entry in the R-Type revival series and includes new stages that have been exclusively created for this release. There are more than 20 stages available to playthrough, some are from the previous R-Type Final 2. The publisher confirmed these are the levels that can be found in the Stage Pass 1 DLC.

The game has been developed using Unreal Engine 5 and for the first time in the series’ history, there will be VR support coming after launch. The developer also has players to support an online mode known as R park where players can share strategies and play minigames to earn R Points.

No other platforms have been revealed at this time.

Owners of R-Type Final 2, which includes the R-Type Final 3 update will still receive support for Competition mode, more stages, and new aircrafts.
