R-Type Final 2 Trailer Reveals Western Release Coming Spring 2021

NIS America announced they will publish the Granzella-developed shoot ’em up R-Type Final 2 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch, and PC in spring 2021.

R-Type Final 2 is the latest installment in the series and has seen a bit of an upgrade in its visuals, now featuring 3D graphics and modern gameplay features. The game is aimed at players, both new and old, as taking on the game’s campaign across multiple difficulties and customize the pilots and ships. The game will feature trademark systems such as the Force mechanic as players navigate new and classic stages.

R-Type Final 2 is created to be a faithful entry in the shmup series, which includes an increasingly difficult gameloop that tests your skills across stages. An online leaderboard will let you know how you rank against other players and a custom loadout menu where you can personalize your ship, including color, weapons, and decals.
