The Quiet Man Gets New Trailer Showing Gameplay and Live Action Segments

Square Enix released a new trailer for their mysterious action title The Quiet Man, coming digital only to PlayStation 4 and PC-via Steam.

Revealed during Square Enix’s E3 2018 showcase, The Quiet Man is back with a few more scenes for fans to check out. Evidentally the game is a mix of live action and gameplay segments, much like Remedy’s Quantum Break. The trailer titled “Silence Rings Loudest”, shows a handful of hard cuts that make it seem like another teaser. However, there is some gameplay sprinkled in there.

The Quiet Man is described as an “immersive story driven cinematic action experience”, that’s a mouthful. The story is told over a single night as the player takes control of a deaf protagonist, Dane, as he fights his way to uncover the trough about a missing songstress.

More gameplay and details will likely come in the coming week as Gamescom 2018 nears, but for now, you can watch the new trailer below:

Author’s take: I’m very conflicted about The Quiet Man, although I respect the Square Enix for supporting new IPs the gameplay animation look a bit weak compared to what we’ve seen in the past. I’d like to see how they handle these cinematic cutscenes and hopefully, it pays off for them. However, a digital-only release makes me worried.
