Puzzle-Platformer ‘Toodee and Topdee’ Gets August Release Date for PC in New Trailer
Developer dietzribi has announced the release date for Toodee and Topdee. This puzzle-platformer focused on changing perspectives will be available on PC (Steam) in August 4, 2021.
Toodee and Topdee has the player controlling two characters who must cooperate to advance through the stages. One character moves through a 2D sidescroller view while the other moves in a top-down perspective.
When the player changes characters, this also affects the whole world around it. Enemies and other objects will also act as if the new perspective was natural and this has to be used to advance through the areas.
Toodee and Topdee also have to defeat big bosses. The game is supposed to offer really challenging stages but people who want a more relaxing experience can adapt the rules using the settings.
Alternating between characters in single-player isn’t the only way to play it, either. After all, the game includes local co-op for two players, with online also possible through Remote Play Together.
As the two characters explore the areas searching for a way to restore the balance of the universe, they’ll meet new friends. Multiple secrets are also supposed to be hidden in the stages.
Check out the new trailer which also serves as a simple explanation of how alternating between Toodee and Topdee is used to solve the stages:
